Davoud Ameri had joined our “Political show” where a discussion had been held regarding the Americans using the human rights as a tool of suppression of other independent states.

Davoud Ameri who is the head of The Islamic World Peace forum told our host that today the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is considered as one of the accepted norms in the world and as a constitution of the United Nations but the Americans read it differently. “They’ve their own interpretation which can be called a new offshoot or a new type of human rights.”

“This particular version doesn’t follow the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its articles. If we differentiate between the concept of the American human rights and the universally accepted one, then we may realize the mass violation of these laws by the US Establishment; inside and outside its borders.

Ameri further said that this universal law is clearly violated on the US soil. “Beyond the American borders they resort to a double standard interpreting it; For example murder of a person is declared as an act of terror by them, while somewhere else they call it a righteous act. According to the American pattern, the intention behind the violation of the human rights may change according to their interests.

He called the racism as one of the most important indicators of the human rights practiced by the US Establishment. He said that until last year, signs and statues praising the slavery were considered as the symbol of the American civilization.

“The Americans are still deprived from the basic human rights declared by the United Nations. Although, we must take into consideration that the Islamic human rights has a more comprehensive and precise approach towards the human needs.”

Davoud Ameri said that the people of color still do not have any standing point in the American version of the human rights. “The US is notorious across the world for its racism. The American leadership disjoints itself from this universally accepted norm. The international laws have a meaning for the international community while the Americans interpret it differently; hence, they presume that they’re allowed to take any measure against other nations even if it’s in a complete violation of the international regulations.”

Davoud Ameri said that unfortunately the public opinion and even the intellectuals have accepted it as a fact.

He also said that the Americans are trying to force their leadership on the issue of human rights which is another symbol of their outlaw nature. “The US pretends to be a role model for human rights and civilization and that every other nation must follow them on.”
