Iran’s ex diplomat says that Kabul won’t fall into the hands of Taliban but on the contrary the Americans will keep interfering in Afghan affairs through their problematic tools.
Former Deputy Foreign Minister for Australasian affairs, Ebrahim Rahimpour believes that by leaving Afghanistan in such a manner, the Americans have assisted the terrorists as they do not care about handing over the people to the terrorist groups. “This country was administered by the friends of the US and now we’re facing an indefinite future.”
Rahimpour who had joined our “Rooydad” show further said that Taliban has always claimed having the ability to administer the Afghan population but still Kabul falling into their hands seems unlikely.
The US has always played a tradesman role in all the wars and they do not pay any respect to human rights issue. “The USSR and the Americans have never been beneficent to the oppressed people of Afghanistan.”
He also warned against the new flow of refugees towards the Iranian borders.
“Despite Iraqi Parliament’s ordinance regarding Americans expulsion from the country, they have no intention of leaving the Iraqi soil. They’ve erected their facilities and fortified their forces, therefore, it’s not a matter of leaving Afghanistan by force; they’ve reached this conclusion that staying in this country is not worth it anymore.”
“Maybe some common points exist between the Afghans and Taliban but the latter believes that they are at large; therefore, they’re trying to impose their version of the story by force instead of using the political means.”
Rahimpour added that the rest of the solution is up to the Afghans while it must be seen what Taliban is going to resort to; an armed conflict or a political framework.
“I do not predict the fall of the central government during the next few weeks but it’s evident that the current administration is unable to maintain their present political and financial methods. The Americans are after influence and will further complicate the situation to reach this goal.
