A political Analyst has called the trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia, and China promising and expected a positive outcome for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this episode of the “Rooydad” show, Political Analyst Jalal Fayyazi had joined us through a telephone call where he analyzed the trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia, and China which took place on the sidelines of the Vienna talks. “He said that the negotiations which started on Monday are of a multi-dimensioned importance; the first reason is that these talks have restarted after a few months of suspension and the second one is that it’s been kicked off with a different point of view by the new administration.”
Jalal Fayyazi further said that the negotiations are result-focused; while the removal of the sanctions and return towards the obligations are the most important factors of this round of talks. “The Islamic Republic of Iran had to conduct some discussions to clarify the policies of Iran; therefore Mr. Bagheri made a trip to Europe and before that, he met with the Chinese and Russian officials too.”
Fayyazi added that two of the 4+1 groups have a closer stance to Iran saying: “The trilateral meeting between Iran, China and, Russia will make the views of three of them unisonant and fortify their position during the talks.”
He pointed out the tweet by the Russian Envoy to Vienna who has called this side meeting fruitful by saying that Russia was interested in having a deeper understanding of the Iranian stance.
Fayyazi also emphasized the presence of American observers during the talks and said that some analyzes point towards the serious intention of return of the Americans to their commitments under the JCPOA. “We must wait and see the outcome of these assumptions.”
He said that the main target of these negotiations is the removal of the sanctions.
Jalal Fayyazi emphasized that Iran has sent a forty-member delegation to these talks which are aimed at leading the negotiations and said that the Chief Negotiator has clarified that the longevity of these dialogues is not predictable and that we must wait for the first round of these talks to conclude.
