The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian parliament announced the drafting of a cooperation document between Iran and Turkey, similar to the document signed between the Iran, China and Russia.
Regarding the Iranian Parliament’s speaker visit to Turkey, Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini told "Rouydad"; “This two-day trip was made at the invitation of the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, for Mr. Qalibaf to attend the meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization Union.”
“Naturally, one of the priorities of this meeting was to discuss the Afghan crisis, the fate of Afghan refugees, and to address Palestine’s issues,” he added.
Referring to bilateral and multilateral meetings between the Speaker of our Parliament and other Islamic countries, he stated; “Iran and Turkey are two axes of West Asia, and multilateral agreements between them form a powerful bloc, and talks have been held accordingly.”
In this short interview with Radio Goftogoo, Abbaszadeh spoke about the issues raised over the preparation of a 25-year cooperation document with China and Russia; “Iran and Turkey decided to prepare a similar document and expert work is being performed in this field.”
He continued; “This document can later lead to various economic and positional agreements, which will certainly be in the legal path and will be facilitated. This will lead to extensive trade and economic relations between Iran and Turkey.”
