Regarding the Vienna 8 agenda, Alireza Sheikh Attar told "Rouydad" program; “The Iranian plan’s perspective is that parts of the tact concluded by the former government are acceptable and parts of it should be revised. But the Western side initially stated that the document should not be changed. At any rate, in the latest messages, they announced that they would try to include some of Iran’s considerations.”

“These considerations include sanctions and serious guarantee for their removal, and the other part concerns the nuclear field. The West says part of the Iranian nuclear issue should be eliminated, while Iran is only willing to change the limits.”

He continued; “There are various scenarios and the United States sent a message that the commitments of both sides will be reduced and then we will move forward step by step.”

Sheikh Attar then mentioned; “The negotiators should be logical and do not expect such serious issues to be resolved within a short time. Both sides insist on their positions to reach the point of intersection.”

At the same time, he stressed that diplomacy is better than war and no one doubts it. However, Saudi Arabia and Israel are inciting the United States and push the Americans forward with their money. But diplomacy is the only way, and each side uses its maximum skill and tact so that the give and takes would be fair.

Regarding the news indicating 80% of Iran's views were accepted by the West, Sheikh Attar said; “Westerners mention about the previous document which was also accepted by Iran and the Iranian former government accepted 80% of it, but I have not heard about the percentage from any official source.”

At the same time, he emphasized that the previous document is not going to be canceled altogether, and the Iran is negotiating for adding amendments to that document.

The Iranian veteran diplomat also spoke of the West's extravagance and said; “They intend to insert their demands in a complex way, which specifically includes regional issues, missiles and Iran's right to enrich uranium.”

Sheikh Attar referred to the destructive role of France and noted; “French authorities have two motives; primarily they wish to prove themselves as the Europe’s top power, but the economic, political and social situation of this country does not indicate this.”

“France was last blown was by Australia and Britain, and therefore today, it is trying to find a market among the Iranian opposition in the Middle East,” he added.
