In this episode of “Bedoone Khatkhordegi Show”, we discussed the doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Vienna talks with the Deputy Director of National Security and International Policy Commission of the Parliament Ebrahim Azizi.

Azizi had joined our show through a telephone call told our host that multiple political authorities present their views regarding the Vienna talks but the people must receive accurate news from our Foreign Office which is doing a great job in conveying the message with complete honesty.

He also called the comments by the British authorities blatant and said that these stances are not following the diplomatic environment. “Our Foreign Ministry did a great job summoning the Ambassador of the UK immediately which sent a clear message to London and stopped their irresponsible comments.”

The Parliamentarian emphasized that the international strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is very distinctive and clear saying: “Dignity, wisdom, and prudence is the framework of our foreign policy. We have always insisted on our dignified stances; God-willing, we'll remain on the same path.”

Azizi added that according to our policy of wisdom, any step and decision must be interpreted and analyzed per our political system. “Perhaps, some decisions are made according to the interests of the country. The negotiations with the 4+1 group of countries are following the same logic.”

He further emphasized that the topic of the nuclear discussions consists of multiple dimensions; from an expert’s point of view some of the dimensions become bold while if we analyze the issue from the level of a foreign minister, the detailed picture becomes clearer.

“Iran has its principles in the Vienna talks; Removal of the Sanctions. Tehran believes that any negotiation which doesn’t pursue the removal of the sanctions will remain unacceptable.” He said.

According to Ebrahim Azizi the negotiations must address the verification process as well. “A framework of negotiations isn’t reachable with empty promises made by the EU and US. It’s out of the question.”
