An Iranian Parliamentarian has told Radio Goftogoo that the current measures taken by Russia are completely justified.
Spokesperson of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini had joined us in this episode of “Rooydad” show to analyze the latest developments of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Abbaszadeh told our host that NATO had previously been active in the Western Atlantic but they moved towards the Eastern Europe step by step. “They were after bringing independent countries under siege which would have naturally resulted in a war.” He said.
The Parliamentarian recalled NATO’s previous attempt to besiege Russia few years back and said that the Russian’s had a timely response to that threat and took necessary preventive measures.
Abbaszadeh called the current pre-emptive actions of the Russians an inalienable right which has been granted by the United Nations to every country.
He also pointed out the invasion of multiple countries across the world by the Americans and the West and called ISIS a creation of these players. He said that they started a devastating war against Syria and pursued besieging Iran as well.
The Spokesperson for the National Security Commission of the Parliament also mentioned the attacks on the Syrian infrastructure by the Israelis which they consider as a preventive measure. “If other countries chose the same path, West calls it an illegal war and start a massive fake news operation through their enormous media outlets against these states.” He added.
He reiterated that Iran has called for diplomacy to solve the issue saying that it’s the least expensive approach.
Abbaszadeh reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is against the invasive mission of NATO and unilateralism of the US and the West and said that we still believe the Ukraine crises can be solved through dialogue.
He also emphasized on upholding the Russian and Ukrainian Civil Rights and called it a virtue not to be violated.
Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini reiterated that NATO must remain inside its limits and revise its steps; otherwise, it will face the resistance of independent countries.
