“Unfortunately, the International Atomic Energy Agency has turned to a political institution. This issue is currently more tangible under Grossi's leadership, since the new director of the IAEA is determind to satisfy the Americans,"
Radio Goftogoo's "Without Scrawl" had a phone call interview with Khosh Chashm, the Iranian international affairs expert regarding the re-utilization of the International Atomic Energy Agency as a means against Iran.
Khosh Chashm referred to a report released by the Atomic Energy Agency on Iran's nuclear activities and stated; “This report is usually about Iran’s latest nuclear activities, the machines in operation, the level of enrichment and the amount of enrichment reserves.”
He continued; “Given that the IAEA has served as the West, especially the United States’ arm, it tries to constantly consider Iranophobia and demonization of Iran and highlight it in its information.”
“The IAEA is a technical and legal body that, by its very nature, cannot act rhetorically in its reports to members,” the international affairs expert told Radio Goftogoo. “The truth is that facts can be left behind in such a way that another image is extracted from the mind. There are countries in the world that have ten times the size of Iran's nuclear facilities and even have nuclear bombs, but their names are never mentioned in the reports.”
He then pointed to the IAEA inspectors' inspections of countries around the world regarding their nuclear activities and stated; “The first reference of inspectors in countries is the reports of their own nuclear scientists since nuclear activities include delicate technology, and domestic inspectors in each country provide accurate reports. But in the case of Iran, if there is even a loose twist in these reports, it is quickly reported in the Western media that Iran is conducting a suspicious activity and that Iran intends to build an atomic bomb.”
“Unfortunately, the International Atomic Energy Agency has turned to a political institution. This issue is currently more tangible under Grossi’s leadership, since the new IAEA director is determind to satisfy the Americans. Therefore, the IAEA is trying to move the Iranian case from the technical and legal state to the political space.”
