Imani stated that Russia and China are among the world's superpowers; “Russia and China don’t want the United States to be more active in West Asia, and they want West Asia to be under their control.”
Radio Goftogoo had a phone call interview with Dr. Asghar Imani, the Iranian professor of law and political science, about the role of Russia and China for the US return to the JCPOA and lift of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Asghar Imani explained that in the world of diplomacy, whenever there is a dispute between governments, diplomatic threats raise; “After the Cold War, all these threats have become slogans and all political activists in the world knew that these threats will never come true, since in the international arena all systems have patterns for themselves that cannot be broken.”
He referred to the recent threat of the Zionist regime’s Prime Minister and said; “The Prime Minister of this regime said that it is time to use other methods to stop Iran in the nuclear field. But they know well that Iran has a very strong military power that covers at least West Asia and beyond.”
“After 1991, when the former Soviet Union collapsed, the United States tried to establish itself as the world's top single pole, but failed to manage the world well,” the law and political science professor said in his interview with Radio Goftogoo. “And therefore plundered the resources of the people, especially in West Asia. This created an anti-arrogance and anti-American movement, so much were forced to leave Afghanistan.”
He mentioned that Russia and China are considered among the world's superpowers; “They are both superpowers in the military and economic spheres, but still, like the United States, they do not boast in the international arena. Russia and China don’t want the United States to be more active in West Asia, and they want West Asia to be under their own control.”
Imani also said that Russia and China are interested in holding the seventh round of negotiations in order not to give the United States an excuse; “The 13th government’s suggestion is different from that of the previous government, and all diplomatic and international intellectuals agree that Iran's suggestion is wise.”
