Pointing out the reasons for the International Atomic Energy Agency Director General’s remarks against Iran, Fayyazi stated; “One of the reasons for making such remarks is to increase the bargaining power of the United States and Europe aga
Radio Goftogoo had a phone call interview with “Jalal Fayazi”, the political expert, on allegations made by the IAEA Director General over the increase of uranium enrichment level in Iran.
Pointing to the IAEA Director General journey to Iran, and reach of an agreement over the continuation of offline camera surveillance for three months, and also the cancellation of the Additional Protocol, Fayyazi said: "If the U.S. and Europe fulfill their obligations over these three months, Iran will display the recorded information during this period. This agreement was accepted by Grossi as a good opportunity to advance diplomacy.”
"In the meantime, the Europeans came with their resolution against Iran which they withdrew from, and the Americans announced that this position was taken with their coordination. Given the ups and downs of the US return to the JCPOA with the lifting of sanctions, the IAEA Director General's remarks on increasing uranium enrichment level in Iran and the need for a broader monitoring of Iran’s nuclear activities should be taken into consideration”, added Fayyazi.
Pointing out the reasons for the International Atomic Energy Agency Director General’s remarks against Iran, Fayyazi stated; “One of the reasons for making such remarks is to increase the bargaining power of the United States and Europe against Iran. Of course, there is an optimistic outlook; with these remarks, Grossi may intend to encourage the United States and Europe to return to their commitments more quickly.”
Fayyazi emphasized that increasing Uranium enrichment level to 20 per cent wasn’t a secret issue; “Iran said that it would test a larger number of advanced centrifuge machines and produce the 3.5 per cent LEU as planned and also start the 20 per cent LEU. These actions were all under the IAEA supervision.”
