An Expert of media has said that the press conference of Mr. Raeisi and his answers to the questions asked by the reporters have clarified that all the prejudice and preconceptions of the media regarding the President-elect were completely baseless.
Media expert Mohammad Qaderi who had joined our political show “Rooydad” said that the President-elect’s press conference had multiple important dimensions. “Despite all the negative propaganda created about Mr. Raeisi and his political background before and during the election process, the press conference received a grand reception by the Iranian and international media outlets.
He said that this question and answer session was an initiative by the press team of Ayatollah Raeisi. “Many people presumed that Ayatollah Raeisi is an extremist who belongs to the non-balanced political circle of the country.”
Qaderi told our host that this incorrect assumption was repeated by the western and regional media centers multiple times but this press conference changed the scene and invalidated all the preconceptions and misinterpretations made by some channels and revealed their unreliability.
He said that Mr. Raeisi answered all the questions in a clear, transparent, and rational manner. “Meanwhile some of his answers were misinterpreted by some of the channels; For example, while his answer to Al-Jazeera regarding the executions of the 1980s was quite clear and not a single part was missed but some of the anti- Iranian channels edited his speech as per their propaganda.”
Qaderi said the press meeting was held in a clear atmosphere. “His message to the people of Iran and the world was straightforward, therefore it received a huge media coverage.”
When our host asked Mohammad Qaderi which part of Raeisi’s statement was focused on by the media, he answered that the internal presses raised the economic issues while the International outlets focused on Mr. Raeisi’s external policies including the Nuclear Deal and the Negotiations.
He said that the news channels were most interested in the President- elect’s foreign policy. “Some of the anti-Iran channels have falsely propagated that Mr. Raeisi won’t cooperate with other countries, while it’s not true.”
Qaderi further said that some of the Western news channels misinterpreted the president-elect’s rejection of meeting with his American counterpart as a rejection of cooperating with all other countries. “They tried to mislead their audiences that Mr. Raeisi is not interested in a collaboration with other states while in answer to the previous question, he had explained his foreign policy and the prospect of the mutual relations with other parts of the world.”
Mohammad Qaderi believes that this press meeting will clear the path for further cooperation between the media and the government as well as providing the president with recommendations, ideas, and criticisms. It will clarify Mr. Raisi’s framework as well.
