In an interview with Radio Goftogoo, the member of Iran National Security Board and the Parliament Foreign Policy Commission noted that the result of negotiations depends on the new government’s decision, with regard to the general policies of the system and the order of Iran Supreme Leader.
In a phone call interview with "Rouydad" program, Rezazadeh called the parliamentary resolution an opportunity for the government and stressed that in the course of the negotiations, the other side should be convinced; “If any of our officials neglects this issue, he should go to the judicial authorities and should answer the court.”
He continued; “For three months, negotiations were conducted by Dr. Araqchi with the other side, and the P4 + 1 was somewhat convinced of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s condition.”
Rezazadeh considered the complete lifting of sanctions as the main condition and added; “Sanctions generally include sectors such as banking, insurance, industry, shipping, currency exchanges, food and medicine and also some individuals.”
He stated that the other side was convinced to lift about 1,100 of 1,700 sanctions; “The Islamic Republic has not yet accepted this, and according to our supreme leader and his insistence on lifting all sanctions, there is a difference regarding the remaining sanctions.”
Rezazadeh then recalled last week's meeting of the commission with Araqchi and his emphasis on moving up to that level, saying; “According to Mr. Araqchi, there are differences over the remaining sanctions. If I’m allowed by the new government, which will be in power by August 4, to follow the negotiations, I will follow this process, otherwise a new team will be in place.”
He explained that remaining sanctions and disputes concern some individuals, but according to the negotiators, such sanctions date back to before the JCPOA and could not be lifted by the United States.
Rezazadeh said that all these sanctions should be lifted together and only then will the Supreme Leader's order be carried out; “We didn’t step out of the JCPOA, and the US authorities were voluntarily committed to return to the nuclear deal in the first step.”
