A political expert says that the accusations by the West are being scrutinized by the UN and the Security Council, but so far they’ve not been able to find any solid evidence against Tehran’s involvement in this case.
Political expert Mohammad Reza Forqani had joined our show “Rooydad” where the latest stances of the G7 states against Iran were being discussed.
“The Israeli company which owns the ship has started an extraordinary propaganda against Iran.” He said.
Forqani added that the West, US and Israel have set a choir for accusing Iran in the ship’s case. “There isn’t a single evidence of Iran’s involvement in this incident and the Russians have also reiterated this fact in the UNSC.”
He also expressed his discomfort for the inclination of the international community towards the Americans and Israelis and the Britons saying: “The G7 has ignored the facts and the realities of this incidence and has blatantly blamed Iran for the alleged attack.”
He again reiterated on the lack of evidence of Tehran’s involvement and said that the attack point was more than a thousand kilometers away from the nearest border and raised this issue that doing so is not in Iran’s favor too.
Forqani also said that the Zionist regime, with the US and UK assistance has started a heavy propaganda to impose its own version of the story and is trying to convict Iran for the attack.
“They’re after gaining the legal ground for their next steps but haven’t been successful so far.”
Forqani also said: “The UN and the Security Council are still investigating, but so far they’re not able to find any solid evidence against Tehran’s involvement in this case.”
He referred to the speech of the Iranian envoy to the UN who had called all the evidences regarding Iran’s involvement fake and void.
“Any accusation must be supported by solid evidences which have not been presented to the legal authorities yet. They’re just crying foul.”
He also said that the UK’s involvement in this case is because one of the crews were said to be in possession of British nationality, but their support to Israel is another topic.
