Minoo Aslani spoke about the many achievements of the Iranian Navy's authoritative confrontation with the United States in the Oman Sea and stated; “This confrontation has completely strengthened the Resistance.”
Radio Goftogoo's "Political Dialogue" aired an interview With Dr. Minoo Aslani, an Iranian expert on strategic affairs and the university professor, regarding the failure of the US piracy strategy in the face of the Revolutionary Guards Navy.
Minoo Aslani stated that it wasn’t the first confrontation of the Revolutionary Guards navy and the American forces, and probably it will not be the last, adding that due to its hegemonic nature, the United States will never learn from constant defeats.
He spoke about the heavy blows of the United States in the region and said; “Saudi Arabia entered the war against Yemen on behalf of the United States and we are witnessing their defeats in Yemen. When we consider all these dimensions along with the probability of the JCPOA negotiations in near future, we realize that the United States is in a position of weakness, and this will put Iran to be in a stronger position.”
In this interview with Radio Goftogoo, the expert on strategic issues described the US measure against the IRGC navy as a blatant theft, adding; “The US action was quite clear, while the defense of the IRGC navy made it clear that no country, including the US, is allowed to violate our interests.”
She mentioned that the United States, in its attempts to seize the Iranian tanker from the sea, intended to measure Iran's level of capability; “The United States realized that Iran's authority could not be compromised in any way.”
Aslani then stressed that the US withdrawal caused the country not to have a leading hand in the region; “What happened in the Oman Sea will definitely have a great impact on the future negotiations on the JCPOA, and will definitely cut the Americans hand.”
She pointed out one of the many achievements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' powerful confrontation with the United States in the Oman Sea; “This confrontation has completely strengthened the Resistance line and completed the Americans defeats, and finally proved the decline of the United States."
"Not long ago, all the US wishes at any point had to be realized. No country could oppose it then, and in this regard, it plundered the property and interests of many nations,” she said. “But today, not only is Iran's will is against that of the United States, we also have a strong and serious presence in the operational field and we stand against the US.”
