Muqtada’ie spoke of South Korea’s companionship with the US in stealing the Iranian people and said; “They will not return Iranians money under the pretext of US sanctions.”
Radio Goftogoo had a phone call interview with Abbas Moghtada’ie, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, about the return of blocked Iranian money in South Korea.
Abbas Moqtada'i stated that nearly $ 8 billion of the Iranian people's property in South Korea has been blocked and will not be paid; “Korean officials have created all kinds of problems and obstacles in order not to return the Iranians’ money. This is despite the fact that more than half a century has passed since Iran's relations with South Korea, and Iran has always been a good partner for them.”
He pointed out that Iran's blocked money is one of the assets of the Iranian nation; “The Central Bank of Iran is responsible for following up and taking back the blocked money. Unfortunately, South Korea refuses to pay blocked money to Iran on the pretext that the United States will not allow it.”
Over this interview with Radio Goftogoo, the member of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee spoke about some of the offers made by South Korean officials to pay the blocked money inappropriately; “Sometimes Korean officials suggest taking action in exchange for Iranian money. To import 3rd or 4th level goods from South Korea, these offers have been more to solve the problem.”
He said that South Korea could return the Iranian people's money in a variety of ways, some of which have been suggested by Iran itself; “Unfortunately, Korean officials are totally under the United States’ influence, and on the other hand, the United States does not support international law in any way. For instance, we can mention their recent attempt in the Oman Sea to rob Iran.”
Muqtada'ie said that South Korea was accompanying the United States in stealing of the Iranian nation; “This issue is being pursued at the highest level with our country's officials. Undoubtedly, these difficult days will pass and the Iranian nation will successfully pass these crises, but it will remain in the historical memory of the Iranian nation that South Korea played a negative role in this regard, and wasn’t committed to fulfil its promises. The Iranian people will remember that they can’t trust the Koreans in our hard days.
The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission also said that several countries owe Iran; “In some countries, Iran's demands are currently being paid, in such a way that trade is done in return. In total, tens of billions of dollars of Iranian assets are in other countries, and the illegal pressure of the United States prevents the return of these investments to our country.”
