On the anniversary of the assassination of Martyr Fakhrizadeh, Radio Goftogoo had a phone call interview with Saleh Eskandari, an expert on political issues.

Saleh Eskandari stated that Martyr Fakhrizadeh was known abroad better than he was known in Iran; “Foreign Policy magazine listed Martyr Fakhrizadeh as one of the five Iranians among the 500 most powerful men in the world. The then Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, in 2018, specifically mentioned the name of martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in a television program and announced there that people should remember this name. Also, the US ex-president, Trump, reacted to the assassination.”

This political expert then referred to the activities of Martyr Fakhrizadeh; “This great martyr had remarkable and unique achievements in the field of nuclear, missile, biological and chemical defense.”

He pointed out the fatwa of the Iranian Supreme Leader that the construction and use of nuclear weapons is forbidden and said; “It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t have any activities regarding nuclear defense since the occupying regime in Jerusalem has hundreds of warheads and nuclear bombs; “In order to protect the lives of the Iranian people, we have to do something in the field of nuclear defense.”

Eskandari added; “One of Martyr Fakhrizadeh achievements is related to the field of nuclear defense, about which our people have been informed to some extent, but the other part is considered as a secret; anyhow our people should know that lots of work has been done in this field, and it may be recorded in history later what a great work has been done in this field.”

"Since 2007, the Zionist regime has put the assassination of our nuclear martyrs on the agenda, and since then they’ve tried different methods," said the political expert in his interview with Radio Goftogoo Radio, explaining about the procedure of Fakhrizadeh assassination. “Specifically, some nuclear scientists were martyred by car bombs. Some others were martyred in traffic by the assailant.”

He stated that the name of Martyr Fakhrizadeh had been on the Zionist regime's terror list since 2007; “They weren’t able to carry out this operation until last year, when the enemies relied on a killer robot. In fact, they used a Belgian machine gun attached to a robot. This robot’s articles were separately imported for months and were assembled inside Iran.”

While acknowledging that the martyrdom of nuclear scientists, including Fakhrizadeh, are of course damaging, Eskandari clarified; “It doesn’t mean that the process of Iran’s scientific movement will stop, our progress process has continued and will be carried on.”
