Radio Goftogoo's "Political Dialogue" had an interview with Dr. Alireza Sheikh Attar, former Deputy Foreign Minister and former Iranian Ambassador to Germany, regarding the Vienna talks, Iran's requirements and presuppositions for lifting all sanctions.

Alireza Sheikh Attar clarified that the enmity of the Western members of the P5 + 1, including the three European countries and the United States with Iran isn’t about our nuclear activities; “They’re well aware of Iran’s nuclear technology, and even if we have a bomb , will we use it or not. Western research institutions and a significant number of their think tanks have repeatedly reported that Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon and will not move in that direction, since it’s the Supreme Leader's fatwa.”

He considered the reason for the West's enmity with Iran as an ideological reason and said; “After four centuries when the dominant thought in the political sphere of the world was secularism that separates God from everyday life, Imam Khomeini showed that religion has the ability to govern society. Imam's action and the victory of the revolution over the ruling thought was like a crack on the world and the West was worried about this issue.”

In this interview with Radio Goftogoo, the former Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that the enmity of the West and especially the United States with Iran will be never resolved; “Under such circumstances, we should use the skills of diplomacy, because diplomacy is more effective than war to eliminate such enmities.”

He stated taht Iran had gained power in recent years that exceeded the expectations of the United States and its allies; “Since the time of Bush Jr., they have expected Iran to become weak, but not only did this not happen, but Iran became even more powerful.”

Sheikh Attar then spoke about the development of Iran's hardware and software; “In the field of software, Iran's influence in world public opinion, especially in the region, is more than before. In such a situation where we stand strong, Westerners know they cannot speak threateningly to Iran.”

The former Iranian deputy foreign minister spoke of the delicacy of the nuclear negotiating team's diplomacy, saying that in order to return to the JCPOA, the United States should be verified, and in this regard, the US should first lift the unilateral sanctions it had signed against Iran.
