Mostafa Khoshcheshm stated that Iran’s leverage made the United States accompanying Europe in Vienna Talks; “The West entered into these negotiations based on Iran's conditions, which were humiliating for them.”
Radio Goftogoo's "Without Scrawl" had a phone call interview with Mustafa Khoshcham, the international affairs expert about the nuclear talks.
Mustafa Khoshchashm mentioned that the Americans and Europeans have prepared the ground for negotiations since two months ago; “In this way, they actually started a propaganda and media war to put pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
He described the conditions for Iran's entry into the talks and said; “After Biden came to power, the Americans pretended to be reluctant to fulfill their commitments under the JCPOA and lifting sanctions so that we would return to our previous commitments.”
In this interview, the Iranian experts on international affairs explained; “Increasing the level and amount of uranium enrichment, as well as the decision of the Islamic Consultative Assembly last year for lifting sanctions are two of Iran's levers of pressure. The Americans immediately changed their approach and said they were willing to negotiate. In this regard, they humiliatingly offered that if Iran puts aside those levers of pressure, they will release three billion dollars of Iran’s blocked money in South Korea as goods.”
He continued; “When Iran rejected the US offer, they increased their offers. But they heard the same answer again, then Israelis entered and targeted Natanz to disable the two levers which affected the uranium enrichment’s limits and amount, but they did not succeed.”
Khoshcheshm stated that Iran’s leverage made the United States accompanying Europe in Vienna Talks; “The West entered into these negotiations based on Iran's conditions, which were humiliating for them. And since the US isn’t any more considered as one of the JCPOA members, the Americans had to sit aside and just listen to other members discussing the issues, which was so humiliating.”
The international affairs expert spoke of the US efforts in removing the levers of Iran's pressure; “They started psychological and propaganda pressure in this direction. Iran made it clear that our participating in the talks is only for the lift of sanctions, and if the sanctions are actually lifted and there is no deception like what happened over the JCPOA, Iran will fulfill its nuclear obligations under the nuclear deal.”
