In a conversation with the Program “Rooydad”, Political Analyst Seyed Mostafa Khoshcheshm pointed out that the two proposed documents by Iran is based on the draft prepared during the last six round of talks in Vienna. “During the previous administration, while a deal wasn’t reached, we had accepted many obligations.”

The other parties to the JCPOA beside Iran, have already put forward their least and utmost expectations; for example, Iran insists on all the sanctions to be removed while the other side of the deal believes that only the embargoes mentioned in the JCPOA should be lifted. Thus, for the deal not to reach a dead-end it was decided, that each case will be addressed separately.

Khoshcheshm also said that, at the end of some of the paragraphs of the aforementioned text, there are some parentheses which much be discussed later during the last stage of the negotiations and the talks should not be done on a single level. “During the previous round of talks twenty percent of the issues remained untouched while the rest of the topics were left in an immature state.”

He added that the non-discussed topics included the removal of the sanctions, verification process and the US action-plan. “According to the new draft, theses points had to be raised during the negotiations.”

He further said that the West will expect more concessions from us; they also claim that Iran has proposed some initiatives which are in contradiction with the JCPOA. “I’ve replied to it in details.”

Seyed Mostafa Khoshcheshm stated that the new suggestions are a step forward and are based on the previous six rounds of talks. Iran has abided by the deal. “On the other hand, some of the sentences of the draft prepared during the sixth round of negotiations were in violation of the Nuclear Deal which was rectified. If the other side assumes that these erroneous clauses violate the deal, they must prove their point.”

He also said that the West issues unclear statements regarding their new demands while blaming Iran for the same attitude. “During the Obama’s rule, the US had proved that it won’t apply the JCPOA at all; they took privileges from us while giving back nothing.”

Khoshcheshm added that according to the JCPOA, we were supposed to receive the money for the oil we sold in the market immediately. “But it didn’t happen.”

“If we’re unable to receive the amount, so what’s the use of the JCPOA? The west should stop their deceitful manner. They have clearly stated that quad-layered sanctions have been placed on the Iranian economy which prevents us from sending or receiving a single penny.”
