A senior political analyst has told The Radio Goftogoo that the resistance has set an ultimatum for the Zionists to bring limitations and the siege to an end in a week or face a possible operation against their interests.
In a conversation with “Rooydad” Program, Senior Analyst for West Asian Affairs Seyed Hadi Seyed Afqahi said that many conflicts have taken place between the Resistance groups and Israelis but each time, the Israeli side was the one who pledged for a ceasefire.
“In the last fully-fledged 12 days of war known as Sword of Al-Quds, the Resistance used many new tactical moves which changed the equations and the security and social condition of the Zionist Regime which forced Israel to beg for a ceasefire.”
He added that the Resistance Groups set their conditions and informed the Israelis about it through some Arab countries especially Egypt which has borders with Gaza. “The Zionists had to accept these conditions and Cairo guaranteed its implementation.”
Seyed Afqahi also pointed out that in an official statement, the Hamas Group has said that the Zionists have so far neglected the conditions for which Egypt is responsible. “The popular resistance group Hamas has set a one-week ultimatum for Tel-Aviv to fulfill its commitments under the ceasefire deal which includes releasing the Palestinian prisoners, opening up the borders and bringing the embargoes on food, fuel, and medicines to an end; Zionist Regime had accepted these terms but disavowed it later.”
He further said that the Resistance has warned the Zionist Regime that not fulfilling its commitments including lifting the sanctions and limitations may result in a new round of operations against their targets.
Seyed Afqahi emphasized that this ultimatum has made the Zionist and Egyptian leadership anxious saying: “Egypt had guaranteed the implementation of these terms by the Zionist Regime, but so far nothing has happened.”
He said that the reason behind the obstructive behavior of the Zionist Regime is that they don’t want the Gaza strip to be reconstructed. “They want to deprive the Palestinians of health, economy and also a minimum living standard.”
