A political analyst believes that our negotiators must feel the support of the entire nation which is possible through a professional media approach.
Expert of nuclear affairs Hasan Beheshtipour has said that the result of the negotiations will increase the demand for in-depth analysis saying that fifty percent of the western pressure on Iran during the talks is guided through media cannons that target the efforts of Tehran.
Beheshtipour added that the western media doesn’t report the real story of the negotiations because it may undermine the propagation of their governments; “During the current round of talks these news outlets are promoting this narrative that Iran has stepped back from its stance and has come under pressure of the western side.”
He pointed out the two drafts prepared by Iran which addresses the removal of the sanction and return to the commitments simultaneously and said that instead of bringing the realities of the negotiations forth and analyzing the circumstances, West is pursuing a side story while mitigating the main issue which is the return of the US and the EU to their commitments.
Hasan Beheshtipour also said that the Western mainstream media has brought a false clause to its headlines that Iran is not showing flexibility during the talks. “The Americans have dropped their commitments and left the nuclear deal illegally and the one who must demonstrate their compliance is Washington and not the Iranians.”
He emphasized that there is an urgent need to reply to these false claims through the internal and external Persian and non-Persian media outlets.
Beheshtipour further said that because of the sensitivity of the issue, some selected clauses of the proposed Iranian draft must be provided to the local press to counter the propaganda mission of the West. “We must take the Iranian nation and our experts into confidence; Our commentators can explain the circumstances of the situation for the ordinary people.
He reiterated that we know that the Iranian negotiators have proposed two drafts as a basis for further negotiations but our political analysts must be briefed about it, as well.
Beheshtipour who is also a media expert further emphasized that gaining the support of the Iranian nation will fortify our negotiators' stance before the 4+1 group of countries. “Our negotiation team must feel the backing of the eighty-million Iranians.” : He said.
Hasan Beheshtipour highlighted that Western Propaganda will only succeed if the Iranian public opinion is not kept in the light. “If we’re successful in explaining our targets and the roadmap towards our goals, the western propagations will fail.”
