In an interview with Radio Goftgoo, a former member of our country's nuclear negotiating team announced the possibility of an initial agreement between Iran and the P4 + 1 over the next 10 days.
Regarding the Russian representative's opinion on the negotiations’ progress, Abolfazl Zohrehvand told "Rouydad"; “Speaking about the plan’s details means that its provisions can be followed.”
He continued; “Recent days were coincided with the Christian New Year holidays, and the P4 + 1 representatives were back to their countries for a few days of vacation; but in general, and based on the published news, the parties have entered into details. Other reports indicate that the Americans are seriously following the issue and that the parties generally hope to reach a starting point for an agreement”.
Zohrehvand continued; “Concentration on the text proposed by Iran is the strength of this round of negotiations.”
The political expert then mentioned that the new talks are likely to begin on Monday; “I think the Americans see “the agreement” as the best option, and at the very least the platform is ready for an agreement. Of course, reaching an agreement on the details requires a process so that the Iranian side also ensures that the details are going to be realized.”
“As a whole, I see the atmosphere as positive,” Zohrehvand told Radio Goftogoo. “We may reach an initial agreement in the next 10 days to move on to other dimensions later, but generally it seems that positive steps are being taken.”
