Iranian MP Shahriar Heydari who had joined our show “Rooydad” has said that launching this satellite carrier is a moment of pride for the nation.

He said that for the past 40 years we’re facing sanctions; thus, stepping towards self-sufficiency was the only option we had. “Today space is considered as an important field of activity for the world; that’s why many countries have tried to achieve this technology [of reaching the space].”

Heydari further said that Iran has become a member of the top 9 Space club that owns the technology of satellite and satellite carriers.

He said that these achievements are not tolerated by the Europe and US; “They’re furious about Iran's development of an indigenous satellite arsenal.”

MP Shahriar Heydari pointed out the latest launch of the Simorgh Satellite carrier saying that Iran has regularly announced its space and defense programs but the US and Israel who are always deviating the public opinion, try to demonize the technological efforts of Tehran.

He called scientific research to achieve technological advancement an undeniable right of Iran.

“Current launch event was also announced in advance.”

Heydari added that our Ministry of Defense had also announced its intention of up-gradation and further development of the satellites and satellite carriers. “It was important news on the global arena which wasn’t tolerated by the US and the EU.”

He emphasized that Iran is not after any unconventional use of this technology and doesn’t pay any importance to the threats or misunderstandings.

“By the grace of God, we’re on the path of steady development and will continue on with our advanced projects in the future too.”

He rejected the claims made by the French statesmen regarding non-compliance of Iran’s latest move with resolution No. 2231 of the Security Council saying: “These allegations are baseless; they’re just persuading a halt to the technological advancements of Iran and relate to the UN falsely.”

Member of the Parliament reiterated that we have an absolute right to have this tech; especially since the West is barring our scientific connections with other countries. “In such a state an indigenous technology becomes an undeniable right; therefore, such accusations are considered baseless by law and international norms as well.”

Heydari recalled the several events where France had violated the resolutions of the Security Council of the UN so their current actions are nothing more than a propaganda scheme.

Heydari who is also a member of the National Security Committee of the Parliament told our host that the Americans have claimed that the launch process went unsuccessful; “So the question remains then why are they concerned about it? The answer is that they know that we’ve gained achievements [through this sort of activities]; We’ve officially announced that our Defense and Technology projects are non-negotiable and binding it to the Nuclear Deal won’t be tolerated.
