Radio Goftgoo's "Without Scrawl" program had a phone call interview with Dr. Fouad Izadi, an Iranian expert on international affairs, regarding the Western media's acknowledgment of Iran's growing defense.

Fouad Izadi referred to Mackenzie, the commander of US forces in the region, acknowledging Iran's defense capability and said; “In an interview with The New Yorker, this American commander used the word 'over match' to describe Iran's defense capability and explained that the term refers to a type of capability that a country possess and therefore it is not possible for the enemies to manage its military power.”

He spoke of the Western countries confession that Iran’s missile capability threat is far greater than the nuclear threat and explained; “There are no restrictions on having missiles in any country in the world, and in fact there is no international law or global agreement regarding the missile capability. Therefore, the request of the Westerners to negotiate about Iran's missile capability is not legal.”

In this interview with Radio Goftogoo, the international affairs expert stated that Americans have problem with Iran’s missile capability; “Iran possess the capability to respond to an attack, and the Americans basically have problem with this fact. Iran has the ability to respond to countries like the United States.”

He pointed out that the US military expenses are about one hundred times more than the military expenses of Iran and said; “The question for many Americans is that why the United States, despite the high military expenses, constantly fails in the West Asian region, and even in other countries where the US officials intervened, there is not a single case that they could succeed.”

Izadi continued; “Although the United States still holds some bottlenecks under control, it has not been able to achieve its goals; for example, the American authorities intended to change the Syrian government, but Bashar al-Assad is still in office. In Yemen, they intend to defeat Ansarullah, but the Saudis have not succeeded and are constantly retreating. We could also see the same situation in Afghanistan.”

The Iranian international affairs expert mentioned that the Americans, in justifying their defeats until two years ago, named General Qasem Soleimani and considered him the cause of their defeats; “Although General Soleimani was martyred two years ago, the Americans were defeated and fled Afghanistan at the same time. This is while Iran's regional capabilities have increased, for example, the situation in Yemen is considerably better than two years ago.”
