In an interview with Radio Goftogoo, the spokesman of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy stated; “Iran holds the initiative on negotiations and our country is full handed in the current round of talks.”
In an interview with the special section "With the Spokespersons" broadcast in the live program of "Rouydad" regarding the latest events in the field of foreign policy and the measures taken in the National Security Commission, Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini said; “Yesterday evening until late at night, Dr. Amir-Abdollahian was our special guest and provided a detailed report on the Vienna negotiation process.”
He continued; “According to this report, fortunately and thanks to God, Iran holds the initiative on negotiations and our country is full handed in the current round of talks.”
He also pointed to the open hands of the Atomic Energy Organization, as well as new achievements in the nuclear field, and added; “Relying on God Almighty and considering the nuclear achievements, the negotiators are in control of the field and the rule of negotiations, and the talks are going on professionally.”
The Iranian MP expressed hope that by the end of the current year (1400), they’ll achieve a good result in this field.
Abbaszadeh Meshkini also stressed that the Western and American sides are trying to resolve their problem only, but Iran has come to the negotiating table with experience and full handed, and will not allow the other side to be the sole determiner of the equations.
He then spoke about the imminent meeting between President Ra’isi and Putin; “Iran's strategy in foreign policy is to be neighbor-centered as well as creating a balance between the powers.”
“Russia is one of the powerful countries in the region. Iran has a good capacity for them and vice versa.”
Abbaszadeh Meshkini called Iran and Russia two important bases in Asia, whose relations are also expanding rapidly, and in the upcoming meeting of the two presidents, relations will approach an acceptable strategic level.
He also announced the signing of memoranda of understanding in this meeting and noted; “Besides, the Iranian Foreign Minister will also travel to China at the end of the week and the relations between the two countries are expanding.”
“In the Vienna talks, China and Russia also appeared different from before and clarified their borders with the West. Therefore, their positions are closer to ours.”
The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament pointed to the increase of Iran's share of trade with neighboring countries up to three times and said; “Our relationship with Iraq is expanding day by day and regarding the return of financial resources from oil like that in the past, we have no problem.”
