In his interview with Radio Goftogoo, Mohammad Reza Forghani pointed to the formation of a powerful triangle consisting of Iran, Russia and China that could stand up to US-led arrogance.

In this regard, he assessed the visit of the Iranian President to Russia as very important and said; “This visit took place in the context of the Vienna talks between Iran and the P5 + 1 countries; especially since the Vienna talks are one of the most important changes in the international arena.”

Forghani explained that this visit has an important role in guiding the outcome of the talks, adding; “This visit is therefore important; especially since Iran and Russia are two countries that have been severely sanctioned by the United States and the West.”

At the present time, these relations will also play an important economic role in nullifying the dominant sanctions and make them ineffective.”

* Iran-Russia relations Is a Threat for the United States

Forghani stressed that the United States uses sanctions as a political tool to maintain its hegemony and unilateral policies in the international system; “Thus our President’s visit to Russia will remove the American means of existence.”

He also referred to the role of the North-South corridor between Iran and Russia, and mentioned; “During this visit to Moscow, one of the issues discussed was transportation and transit, the north-south, and all the facilities for its realization is provided.”

“Although there have been delays in some parts of Iran, including the non-connection of the Rasht-Astara railway, this corridor is through the Caspian Sea and Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-Russia railway, and will play a complementary role.”

* Facilitation of Iran-Russia Agreement Performance

According to this Iranian political analyst, the revival of this corridor will realize the ways of transit and delivery of goods from China and India to Europe, and it’s also significant for other Southeast Asian countries.

“Any economic and political agreement between the countries is subject to the political will of the two sides, and when a visit takes place at the highest level of the countries and the leaders display the necessary will to perform plans in an intimate and friendly environment, naturally they provide the necessary ground for the implementation of agreements such as the 20-year agreement between Iran and Russia,” said Forghani in his interview with Radio Goftogoo.
