"Western media have no knowledge of the Islamic world, and Israel, the world media empire, has not yet been able to secure Tel Aviv and Haifa in terms of media," Davoodi said.
Iranian media expert, Dr. Alireza Davoodi, had a discussion with "Reflection" talk show on “media and Islamophobia”.
Davoodi mentioned the three stages of Islamophobia, escaping Islam and Islamization, and then explained the five rules of Islamophobia; “Unconventional view of Islam and its principles, restriction of Islam, threatening viewpoint of the media, spreading threats and producing different ideas in terms of people are the five stages of Islamophobia.”
He added; “The second stage is escaping Islam, in which the media acts as an amplifier in order to bring the audience to the peak of hatred, and then begins to provide them with a new outlook on Islam."
Referring to the issue of media distortion of Islam through amplifiers such as politicians, celebrities and the masses, this media expert emphasized; “Of course, over the recent years, Muslims have also been trying to amend the Islam-escaping concepts so that the Westerners would fail in their propaganda against Islam.”
He pointed to issues such as Corona, the US war in Yemen and killing of people in the US elections as factors that damaged the foundations of the West, and declared; “Today, social media has reached maturity in the Islamic world and because of the killing of a black man by police, Hollywood can no more preserve the picture which was previously created by the West.”
Referring to the high volume of messages produced by social media in order to deny Islam in the West, Davoodi noted; “Under such circumstances, the Islamic world is still calm, while only a few messages delivered by Islamic media against the West to display the existing realities left them in a disturbed situation.”
He spoke of Western media's arrogance for assuming victory in the Islamic world as the very factor which held them back and said; “Western media have no knowledge of the Islamic world, and Israel, the world media empire, has not yet been able to secure Tel Aviv and Haifa in terms of media”.
This media expert pointed to the inability of the West to even correctly read the events, and emphasized on lack of equivalents for the examples of the world of resistance and Islam as their weakness; “The Islamic world is undeniably superior to the West in the field of social media, and people came to understand that social media and individuals follow the resistance movement.”
