Farzan Shahidi, a senior Southwest Asia International policy specialist mentioned that the missile and defensive arsenal of Gaza strip may thrust a hard blow to Israel.
Farzan Shahidi made these remarks in an interview with the program “Rooydad” (The Event) of Radio Goftegoo. He said that the latest Israeli attack on Gaza were more destructive than the Friday’s attacks and it is claimed by them as a response to the rocket shelling on southern occupied territories.
He added: “If Israeli claims were true then they would’ve responded with much higher level of force than the resistance groups offensive. There has never been a power balance between the two and the occupation forces have always opted for excessive level of power. The Zionist Army, targets the Palestinian Resistance Forces once in a while and it is considered by them as a tool of suppression.”
Commenting on the precarious position of Israeli PM, Netanyahu and uncertainty in formation of the new government, Shahidi said for covering up his failures, the Zionist Premier opts for military attacks and blaming policy.
Mr. Shahidi mentioned the statement made by the resistance groups after the attack and told Radio Goftegoo that Hamas group is the main target of these attacks and their spokesperson has insisted that these strikes won’t affect their determination.
He went on to say that despite the siege being faced by Gaza and the resistance groups, the Palestinians have always tried to keep the security balance in to their own hands and they have successfully reinforced their defensive and military capabilities.
“The resistance forces are capable of giving a hard blow to the Zionists whenever they want,” Shahidi emphasized.
