This war clearly showed that the Resistance Groups have stopped the Israelis and forced them to fulfill their demands.
Expert of West Asian politics, Saadollah Zarei told the Radio Goftegoo that defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque and countering the problems faced by the Gazans which were created by the Zionists were the main reasons behind this war.
Zarei said that before this conflict, the Palestinian Resistance always used their weapons against the Israeli Army, but this time they clarified their stance that the illegal Zionist settlements will be a target this time. “The Israelis didn’t pay attention to the ultimatum set by the Resistance, so several Zionist settlements were targeted in the occupied territories.”
He said that the Israelis tried to change the equation by hitting the installments in Gaza. “They claimed that we will target 250 different points and bring the story to an end.”
They thought its possible, but in contrast to their expectations, Palestinian rockets continued to pour down on them which was an indication that there are at least a thousand more points from where the rockets are fired.
“11 days after the aggression against Gaza, Israeli lands were still under attack and the Zionists couldn’t stop it. They had to resort to the conditions set by the resistance which included ceasing the pressure on the Palestinians of the Jerusalem- AlQuds.”
He further said that till yesterday there were two fronts in West Asia. The resistance front was led by The Islamic Republic of Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq while the other one was the Saudi-led Axis which was after normalizing their relations with Israel. It is now in a defensive position because the Israelis faced a serious drawback in the 11 days of war and had to obey the demands made by the resistance.
“This compromising attitude has shown its ineffectiveness; “Gaza war has solidified the position of the Resistance and the future of the region will be decided by them.”
Zarei called the talks leading to compromise as a useless act and said that this attitude is doomed to fail; while the resistance will appear as the leading power of the region far greater than before.
