A political analyst pointed out the expanding Islamophobic feelings in the West and called it a systematic hatred towards the Muslims.
Political expert Alireza Rezakhah who had joined us in the “Rooydad” show said that the pace of Islamophobia in the Western world has increased enormously and Media is to be blamed.
Rezakhah recalled the latest incident where a family walking peacefully beside the grandparents and grandchildren were driven over and killed by a 20 years old truck driver and called it a barbaric act that has deep roots in the history of this country.
“Canada tries to present itself as a multicultural society while increasing level of extremism is revealing the other side of the story.”
Rezakhah added that racism towards Muslims is visible in the security, media, and education structure of this country.
“The media sticks a “Muslim” badge on these citizens so everyone develops a negative feeling towards them; instinctively.”
He also said that the politicians use this technique to cover their failures and make these minorities bear all the responsibilities, while their acts are the main cause of the extremism.
Rezakhah pointed out the efforts made by the academic institutions to address the issue of Islamophobia but all their struggles went unanswered by the Canadian Government.
“They’ve cornered these minorities and covered it up with a nice picture of themselves.”
“First of all the security of Canada must be restructured because it still equates Muslims with danger. Secondly, their lower and higher education system, as well as their media, must be reconstituted in a way to stop designating countries like Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan with terrorism and warmongering. Their educators follow the same path and feed the children with the same biased information.”
