Regional expert affiliated to Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Told radio Goftogoo that the Syrian nation has demonstrated their ability of countering the current crisis which their country is facing at the moment.
Expert of regional affairs Saeid Pirmohammadi told our host that Bashar Assad has reached a maturity after winning more than 95 percent of the popular votes.
“Most of the senior Ministers have been reinstated. The Defense Minister has been asked to continue on with his job which is an indication of the current government’s stance towards fighting terrorism and preventing extra-territorial interference.” He added.
Pirmohammadi said that the Syrian government has decided to take sides with the Resistance.
He pointed out that the Finance and International Trade Minister will also retain his office which shows that the Syrian people intend to resist the Caesar embargoes imposed upon Damascus.
Saeid Pirmohammadi said the Damascus has been under a constant political pressure during the past decade by multiple countries who had their own interests in this havoc. He also called the Syrian government’s reinstatement and control of their territory a miracle.
“Bashar Assad must regain his control over the Northern territories, especially Idlib and Kurd administered areas where the most foreign interference is visible; it’s also according to the will of the nation.”
He said that the people are returning to the areas where the security has been restored. “The central government has reclaimed its military, political and diplomatic superiority and has sent multiple missions to the regional countries to restore its position accordingly.”
He further said that the Bashar Assad’s Government is the result of the popular votes and decision of the Syrians and is able to ensure the future of the country and the nation is well aware of this vital fact. “The result of the elections confirmed this reality.”
