In an interview with Radio Goftogoo, Emad Aslani Menareh Bazari stressed that Hezbollah and the Resistance Movement had become a determining force in the region after the 33-day war; “With the victory of Lebanon's Hezbollah in the 33-day war, the foundations for a new Islamic civilization were formed.”

Radio Goftogoo's "Political Dialogue" had a phone call interview with Dr. Emad Aslani Menareh Bazari, an Iranian expert on West Asia affairs, discussing about the Islamic Resistance Day and the association of Hezbollah 33-day resistance and stability.

Emad Aslani Menareh Bazari reminded that the Zionist regime started the 33-day war, claiming that some Israeli soldiers were taken hostage by Hezbollah in Lebanon; “After this war, we saw a significant movement in the region that marked the beginning of other movements in the following years.”

He noted that the first victory of the Islamic world against the Zionist regime took place in the 33-day war; “After this battle, the Arab world, which had previously relied on Arab national ideology in the face of Israel, realized that their defeat in the 6-day war was due to the lack of a religious and Islamic outlook.”

The expert on West Asia affairs stressed that the 33-day war broke the Zionist regime's invincibility; “Over this war, the voices of resistance, religion and unity, as well as a nation-based society were heard for the first time, and for the first time the foundations of a new Islamic civilization were formed.”

He explained that one of the outcomes of Hezbollah's victory in the 33-day war was the people's trust in the Resistance; “This victory revealed that the 'Camp David Accords' chapter was over, because as the negotiations progressed, the Arab world lost its Islamic and Arab values. This issue led to the formation of a new axis called the "axis of resistance" in the region and in the world.”

In this interview with Radio Goftogoo, Aslani spoke about the day which marks the 15 anniversary of the 33-day war and said; “Today, the axis of Resistance still maintains its position. It even managed to keep the Middle East away from the equations of supra-regional powers, such as preventing the realization of the Greater Middle East.”

He mentioned that Hezbollah's plays a determining role in the Middle East; “Today, after 15 years, it is impossible to fulfill a plan in the Middle East and not take the Resistance into account. This led to the increase of Hamas power and Hezbollah's missile power, which prevented a major war in the West Asia region.”

Aslani mentioned that since its victory in the 33-day war, Hezbollah has become a deterrent power against the Zionist regime; “This power is developed from the Gulf of Aden to the Mediterranean Sea and from the gates of Baghdad to Syria.”

He said that no regional or supra-regional power could ignore Hezbollah’s Resistance; “Today the time of closed-door decision-making by the world powers and disregarding the Resistance is over since it’s the Hezbollah that determines the equations in the region.”
