Expert of West Asian Politics Dr. Alireza Taqavinia says that after the Islamic Republic of Iran came in to existence, it equipped the resistance movements with the asymmetric war technique. “Iran moved towards arming the nations, because the nations can’t be eliminated while the militaries can be wiped off.”
Dr. Alireza Taqavinia who had joined our “Bedoone Khatkhordegi” show through a telephone call explained the reasons behind the increasing vulnerability and weakened deterrence of the Zionist Regime.
He called the geographical limitations as one of the main reasons behind the Israel’s weakness in front of the Resistance. “The Zionist Army suffers from lack of a strategic depth; it means that even a rocket with a limited range of 300 kilometers fired from Lebanon can target all the occupied territories.”
Taqavinia pointed out the groups which resisted the Zionists through the 80s and said that unlike their predecessors who chose the path of the tribal and national or socialist and Marxist agendas, these resistance groups firmly believed in Islam. “After Hezbollah emerged as a Lebanese religious and political group, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) also came in to existence and The Islamic Jihad followed in.”
Dr. Taqavinia added that their faith and belief in Islam had a vital role in their successful operations and attacks against the Zionist regime. “previously, the Arab regimes tried to eliminate the Israelis with relying on the Arab nationalism, but they failed; While according to the Islam’s teachings anybody who gets killed for the sake of the humanity is a martyr and is rewarded by the Almighty and if he even doesn’t get killed is victorious and has attained the goal.”
He added that after the Islamic revolution, Iran equipped the resistance forces with asymmetric war strategy which resulted in an unparalleled force in terms of power and the demise of the Zionist myth.
“During the 1967 war, the Israelis destroyed more than 400 Egyptian, Jordanian, Syrian and Iraqi jet fighters on the ground and forced these countries’ military to surrender while they faced a heavy defeat before the armed nations. In-fact, The Islamic Republic of Iran is after arming the nations because they can’t be eliminated while the militaries can be wiped off.
