“The United States try to make a distance between Lebanon and the Resistance movement, especially that in Syria, and restoring relations between the two countries will help Lebanon solve its problems and thwart US plans,” said Rouyvaran.
Radio Goftogoo had a phone call interview with Hussein Rouyvaran, an expert on West Asia affairs, about the arrival of a high-ranking Lebanese delegation to Syria after 10 years.
Hussein Rouyvaran pointed to the high-ranking Lebanese delegation and Lebanon’s First Deputy Prime Minister visit to Syria; “There are two purposes for this visit: the first concerns the fuel carrier that Iran sold to Lebanon. The ship is currently docked in Syria and the oil is scheduled to be imported to Lebanon by tankers.”
He explained the second issue, which focuses on the Lebanese delegation's talks with Syria; “The transfer of electricity through Jordan to Syria and from Syria to Lebanon is another issue that has been discussed between Lebanon and Syria. This is a way to solve the problem of power outage in Lebanon.”
Over this phone call interview with Radio Goftogoo, the West Asia affairs expert stated that the Lebanese delegation met with the Syrian officials to resolve the problems of the Lebanese people; “Despite the fact that some political groups in Lebanon have a bad position towards Syria, and they contributed to Syria’s internal tensions, but today Syria has taken a position in favor of the Lebanese people and opened its borders to solve the Lebanese problems.”
He continued; “The arrival of the Lebanese delegation in Syria indicates that the previous policies were wrong and the Lebanese government has always been depending on Syria to overcome lots of problems.”
