Radio Goftogoo’s "Without Scrawl" program had an interview with Dr. Ahmad Dastmalchian, the veteran diplomat and Iran’s former ambassador to Lebanon and Jordan, discussing the Lebanese Resistance and the pioneering role of the Islamic Revolution in the Mediterranean region.

Ahmad Dastmalchian stated that one or two years after the Islamic Revolution’s victory, the Zionist regime invaded Beirut; “In Beirut, this regime formed its own subordinate government and intended to occupy Syria and Iraq.”

He explained that Hezbollah's core was inspired by the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini's ideals; “Since their inception, Hezbollah and the Resistance have created great equations in the region that have upset the balance of power in the West and East.”

The Iranian diplomat noted that the Resistance and Hezbollah were formed from within the "Amal forces" trained by the school of Imam Musa Sadr and Shahid Chamran; “in 2000, for the first time in the history of the anti-Zionist struggle, this regime was forced to flee and surrender. On that time, the leaders of the Zionist regime made a deal with a certain group, something they’ve never done before with any Arab country.”

He pointed out the 33-day war and said; “During this war, which took place in 2006, a great epic was formed and since that day, the balance of power has changed in favor of the Resistance. For the first time after this war, the Zionist regime felt it could be defeated. This indicates the power of the Resistance, since the Resistance movement, led by Hezbollah, was able to defeat all the conspiracies and equations of American and Zionist absolute infidelity, and their regional allies.

In this interview with Radio Goftogoo, Dastmalchian referred to the efforts of the West and some countries in the region to overthrow Bashar al-Assad's regime; “In this way the enemies were trying to press the Resistance multilaterally and defeat it, but the equation had completely turned.”

He added; “The Zionists, Takfiris and ISIS fighters had come to divide the region and upset the equations of the Resistance movement, and this was part of a detailed American, Hebrew and Arab reactionary plan to keep the Zionist regime on the safe side to avoid the bitter scandal which happened in 2006. But this didn’t happen since the Resistance defeated this conspiracy with the measures taken by those like Martyr Qassem Soleimani.

The former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and Jordan emphasized that one of the structural tasks of Martyr Qassem Soleimani was to develop the Resistance movement from southern Lebanon to Bab al-Mandeb; “The Resistance, in fact, is vastly developed and Hashad al-Shaabi, the Fatemioyoun, the Zainabiyoun and other currents of the Resistance are clear examples that represent this fact.”
