Political Analyst Mojtaba Norouzi explained the latest developments in Afghanistan for the listeners of Radio Goftogoo’s “Rooydad” show. “So far, the Afghans have not accepted the new setup and have rejected the Taliban’s system.”

He added because of the differences and sensitivities between the fractions, complexities will arise on the domestic front.

“Taliban is facing the challenge of not being recognized officially by other countries too.” He said.

Mojtaba Norouzi called it a serious issue experienced by them where most of the countries won’t admit their rule easily.

He also said that Iran has taken the best and the most accurate stance on this issue that it will stand beside the Afghan people. “It was officially stated to the Afghan Foreign Minister that this country doesn’t need a custodian.”

He further told our anchor that Iran has clearly said that no other country has the right to meddle in Afghanistan’s issues and the problem must be addressed through inter-Afghan discussions.

Norouzi also said that Mr. Raeisi has also stated that we will accept a government that is appointed by the Afghan nation.

“Neither the Taliban Government has a public support nor has it abided by the rules of universalism.”

Norouzi further added that the backstage of the play is still unclear, but from the first day of the conflict, everyone was saying that nobody would resist the new establishment.

He believes that there is nothing sensitive about this issue and it should not be viewed as a matter of partisanship too; "We know that some parties are trying to misuse this situation but we should not reject it because of them.

“The Resistance has turned into a value; while it wasn’t the same previously. Back in nineties, nobody had faith in such topics.”
