An Iranian expert on international affairs stressed that the killing of 20 people in a drone strike in Afghanistan is a small number for the Americans and they consider this as sidelong casualties.
In an interview with "Rouydad" program, Amin Rezainejad noted; “UAV attacks are such that a point is usually marked by a watch, and then the drone operator directs and fires.”
Regarding drone targets, he believes that there are lots of misinformation and that the ground system that drives these systems has fundamental problems.
Rezainejad stated that killing and wounding of a large number of Afghan citizens by the United States in the last 20 years proves this claim; “Americans do not need to be cautious enough in this regard. This was even seen in their invasion on Iraq. They invaded Iraq under the pretext of chemical weapons, and after inflicting heavy losses on the lives, property and honor of the Iraqi people, they easily declared that they were wrong.”
He stressed that the killing of 20 people in a drone strike in Afghanistan is a small number for the Americans and they consider this as sidelong casualties.
Asked if such an issue could be easily ignored, Rezainejad said; “Regional governments are dependent (on the US) and do not challenge the United States in the international community, and this will lead to committing more crimes by the Americans.”
“When Afghanistan was ruled by Ashraf Ghani's government, we saw that the president fled Afghanistan with $ 69 million and now he doesn’t care about the changes in this country,” mentioned this political expert on Radio Goftogoo.
In this short interview, Rezainejad described the current turmoil as the incapacity of the incumbent government and added; “These crimes are really bitter and hurt the heart of every human being."
