Farkhondehpour called Trump's sudden departure of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) a disgrace for American politicians and said; “They easily violated the agreement they made with Iran, and eventually the United States withdrew from the JCPOA."

Radio Goftogoo's "Without Scrawl" program had a phone call interview with Dr. Iraj Farkhondehpour, a faculty member and the international affairs expert, about Iran's clear policy toward the JCPOA.

Iraj Farkhondehpour referred to the positions of Iranian Foreign Minister, Amir Abdullahian, on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy perspective; The Iranian authorities’ explicit policy is based on balance, and this policy was made quite clear for countries opposed to Iran in the nuclear field.”

He described the US breach as being precedent and stated; “The US government hasn’t only violated the agreement with Iran and the JCPOA, but also other regional and global treaties. Trump left the JCPOA for no apparent reason and challenged Obama's policies.”

In this interview with Radio Goftogoo, the Iranian faculty member mentioned that Trump's sudden departure of the JCPOA was an embarrassing act; “The pact they made with Iran step by step was easily violated by the United States, and finally the US left the JCPOA.”

He continued; “The Islamic Republic of Iran has patiently pursued a policy based on moderation so that the Europeans may act wisely and fulfill their obligations towards our country. Unfortunately, we didn’t witness a proper reaction from the Europeans after the US withdrawal of the JCPOA.”

Farkhondehpour described Iran's move to increase the Uranium enrichment rate to be in our own interests; “When neither the United States nor Europe met their commitments, Iran pursued a policy of reducing commitments in several stages, according to the JCPOA.”

The international affairs expert clarified about the expectations of the United States and Europe from Iran regarding the nuclear deal; “They didn’t fulfill their commitment while the Islamic Republic of Iran implemented the JCPOA accurately.”

He stated that today Europe and the United States are under Iran’s obligation; “The United States and Europe cowardly violated the executive plans of the JCPOA.”
