In a live phone call interview with "Rouydad", Seyed Reza Sadr al-Hosseini noted that various efforts have been made against the Lebanese people so far, and while the West thought the Lebanon’s case was over with the explosion of the port of Beirut and all those measures against the Lebanese people, parliament and government, it turned to be the opposite; “Media wise, they tried to catch fish in troubled waters.”

Sadr al-Hosseini spoke of the cohesion between the parliament, the presidency and Hezbollah in Lebanon; “The enemy tried to bring the economic collapse to a climax; Of course, the economic pressure had started almost two and a half years ago by the Saudis and the governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, and the enemy thought that with the existing economic difficulties, they could take people to the streets.”

“Along with taking rational measures and a number of Lebanese traders buying diesel and gasoline from Iran, the brave Secretary General of Hezbollah also announced that those opposed to this shipment will get an extremely harsh answer,” he added.

He continued; “Through such measures, the economic collapse was avoided despite the problems. There was also a security issue raised by Samir Geagea, which was again passed over tactfully.”

Regarding Saudi Arabia's sharp reaction to the remarks of a Lebanese Minister of Information, who had taken a position contrary to the Yemeni war, Sadr al-Hosseini stated; “Saudi Arabia failed in its previous plans and therefore their reaction was that of a defeated person.”

“Today, the Lebanese people have reached a good rationality, and on the other hand, it should be noted that the Lebanese Minister of Information’s remarks was made almost 9 months ago, while he wasn’t yet in charge, and was rather a political analyst who made a few statements about supporting the oppressed people of Yemen,” mentioned Sadr al -Hosseini in his interview with Radio Goftogoo.

The Iranian West Asia expert continued; “He was introduced as the new Lebanese Minister of Information after 9 months, but those who are against peace in Lebanon put their fingers on his previous remarks, and finding those out of the archives, they raised this issue.”
