In an interview with "Rouydad" program, Reza Mirabian analyzed the claims around Al-Kadhimi's assassination in Iraq; “No group has yet accepted the responsibility of this attack that took place early this morning and led to the destruction of part of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s house.”

He pointed to Iran's stance, which strongly condemned this assassination and called it a foreign sedition.

“Some of the Iraqi political groups protested the elections results and demanded a recount, and two people were killed after the protests,” he added.

He continued; “Some hidden hands are trying to advance several goals: The first is to disrupt Iraq’s politics and security on the eve of the formation of the next government, and the second is to set Hashd al-Shaabi, a popular force that opposes ISIS, against Iraqi people and the government.”

Mirabian said the foreign forces were behind this scene; “But with God's help, the Iraqi political groups will be vigilant in dealing with their conspiracies, and would not allow the formation of such a political domination. There are some details about this assassination which aren’t yet announced. Two of the drones were hit by Iraqi missiles while the third damaged al-Kadhimi's house.”

In another part of his remarks on Radio Goftogoo, Mirabian noted; “Those groups that seek Iraq’s territorial integrity will never commit this crime. This conspiracy was in line with the foreign forces goals and motives to alter Iraq’s politics and security.”

The Iranian political expert then added; “The United States, the Saudis and Israel have repeatedly mentioned that Hashad al-Shaabi is a terrorist group and should be disbanded, and therefore they don’t want to see a future to this group, and they seek to damage its position among people.”

He also stressed that the United States is trying to catch fish in troubled waters; “Those were American and Israeli drones that bombed the popular mobilization centers, and later admitted this, and today they do not hesitate to bomb Al-Kazemi's house.”
