Hussein Ajorlou had an interview with "Rouydad" program regarding the US delegation's visit to Beirut and meeting with Lebanese officials; “This meeting has a number of announced goals, which was about attempts to strengthen bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United States, and to help improve the situation in Lebanon.”

He continued; “But at the heart of the matter, there are a number of other goals that Hezbollah officials also mentioned. The resistance group is popular among Lebanese public opinion, which has made people sensitive to the US anti-Lebanese actions.”

He stated that the second goal of the Americans is to revive the indirect talks between Lebanon and the Zionist regime; “The United States also discussed this issue in a meeting with the Lebanese president.

Najib Mikati's cabinet was formed with the plan and support of the resistance groups, and therefore the West is trying to make this cabinet face problems or lead it towards its goals.”

“Apparently, the United States is ostensibly trying to help Lebanon through this visit, but in fact it intends to put the Lebanese government under pressure, which was followed by serious reactions from resistance groups and the Lebanese people in cyberspace,” added Ajorlou.

“The United States is pursuing a three-level strategy in Lebanon that includes eliminating Hezbollah and resistance groups,” the West Asia affairs analyst told
Radio Goftogoo.

“One level is political, the other is security, and the third involves diplomacy and public opinion. Given popular support for Hezbollah, public opinion seems to have realized that the country's problems are due to US global sanctions.”

“On the other hand, they know that the West has taken the Lebanese political arena hostage in order to achieve its goals, but the US goals are far from the realities of Lebanon, and I believe that just like in the past, the United States will not succeed in this regard,” he said.
