An expert of European politics Morteza Makki pointed out the latest outbreak of the Corona Virus in the UK and said that the Government breached the same SOPs that they preached and asked the citizens to abide by.
In this episode of “Bedoone Khatkhordegi” show, we discussed the violation of Corona protocols by the UK Administration. Expert of European affairs Morteza Makki had joined us through a telephone call to elaborate on the situation.
He said that the UK Government violated the Coronal protocols several times which forced the Parliament to shed light on this case. “The British Police has issued a report about the Parties thrown by Boris Johnson where his friends and Cabinet members were invited at a time when Coronavirus was touching new peaks every other day. These events were held at a time when the ordinary British citizens weren’t even allowed to attend a gathering of two or three.”
He added that the highest administrative authority has violated the Quarantine and said that these actions are considered disrespectful and neglectful of the laws set by the Parliament. “Media outlets and other parties created a huge wave of pressure against Prime Minister Boris Johnson consecutively.”
During this telephone interview, Morteza Makki added that Boris Johnson came to the Parliament, apologized, and tried to reduce the pressure set by the media outlets and other Parliamentarians. He accepted his fault to decrease the pressure of his partisans and opposition and also declared that he will compensate for what happened.
Makki also referred to the new round of Covid infections in Europe and especially the UK saying: “Breach of the law by the British Government has mitigated the role of the instructions set to encourage the people for the respecting the protocols. “UK citizens are skeptical and disappointed by the decisions of their government.” He said.
