National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament’s member Abolfazl Amooee believes that the Resistance countries shouldn’t be seen only from a security point of view but the economic opportunities must be activated accordingly.
Abolfazl Amooee had joined our show “Rooydad” where he described the points which the new administration must work on if they want to gain success. “Our country’s geographical position is a blessing. We must utilize it for our diplomatic purposes.”
He pointed out that Iran is in the vicinity of 15 countries and has land and sea borders with them which is a window of opportunity.
“These countries have a great trade market where we can get engaged directly.”
Amooee emphasized that the second layer of neighbors of Iran is enormous and when the US is using the pressure tool to control us, the capability of our neighbors and bilateral relations with these countries is an opportunity second to none.
He also said that Iran has a great cultural foothold in the region and the language and religion must be utilized for the betterment of our position. “The government elect must pay attention to this golden opportunity in the field of diplomacy.”
“I’m looking forward towards the next administration using these tools for the expansion of the foreign policy and our diplomatic capabilities.”
Amooee added that the current administration has spoiled the chances in the field of councillorship and promoting bilateral trade. “At the moment our trade level with our neighbors is only around 12 billion US dollars while we have experienced lots of fluctuations too.”
He called Syria another opportunity that must be addressed very soon. Especially because Syria is in a state of reconstruction and reform.
Amooee said that the next government must activate these capacities as soon as possible. “Lebanon’s fuel shortage must be addressed and the Pharmaceutical requirements of the countries of the Resistance Axis must be fulfilled.”
He stressed that the Resistance countries should not be limited to our security relations but we must amplify the economic capabilities accordingly.
Amooee said that the President-elect has a positive view of Qatar. “Doha is a member of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and our relations with these countries must continue. I hope the next administration will reinforce these relationships.”
He also said that there is a common religious and historical heritage between Iran and these countries and a cooperation ambiance must be expanded.
