The Iraqi nation must learn a lesson from Total company’s entrance and irresponsible steps in Iran and also the interventionist policy of France in the Islamic world.
Political Analyst Seyed Reza Sadrolhosseini has said that the contract between Iraqi Government and France’s Total Company must address interest of Iraqi public.
Joining our “Bedoone Khatkhordegi” show through a telephone call Sadrolhosseini explained the latest situation regarding the energy deal between Iraq and Total company.
Seyed Reza Sadrolhosseini recalled the twenty-seven billion Dollars deal in Iraq’s current situation saying: “Many years after the fall of Saddam, people of this country are still dealing with deficiencies and inadequacies of the previous years. For more than half a century they’ve faced several civil and international wars.”
He further said that resolving the concerns of the Iraqis, especially in the field of electricity and fuel is among the priorities of the leadership; “There are some ambiguities about the US involvement in the deal.”
Sadrolhosseini pointed out the fact that the Iraqi Parliament must approve the details of this deal saying: “It’s not clear if the Parliament which is facing the approaching elections, is in approval of all the clauses of the deal or not.”
He insisted that the deal between Iraq and the Total Company must address all the concerns of the Iraqi nation and also said that the people of this country must be watchful of Total’s breach of the deal in Iran and also the interventionist policies of France in the Islamic World. “The representatives of the nation in the Iraqi Parliament must pay attention to all these facts.”
