“CovIran Barekat” vaccine is up to international standards

This time “CovIran Barekat” Vaccine and its emergency usage license was the topic of discussion in our show “Rozane”.

“CovIran Barekat” Vaccine’s Executive Director for clinical research Dr. Seyed Reza Mazhari had joined us in this show. He said that the emergency usage license was issued a few days ago.

“This vaccine is prepared with inactivated virus.”

He added that the viral envelope and all the proteins of the virus are included in this vaccine which will drive the immune system to produce the necessary antibodies.

Reza Mazhari further said that the “CovIran Barekat” vaccine will deploy a huge amount of essential proteins inside the body so various types of antibodies will activate according to different variants of proteins; thus, it's expected that this vaccine will also make the body immune to the mutated versions.

Dr. Reza Mazaheri added that every other vaccine is supposed to boost the antibodies and level of immunity up to international standards.

“This particular vaccine has acquired all the necessary international immunity standards as well.”

Talking to “Rozaneh” show he further added that during the past year and for 8 months this vaccine went through the animal testing phase.

“We’ve completed the first and the second phase successfully and the results will be released in a short period.”

He told our host that 20 thousand volunteers have participated in the third phase of the test and the results of the clinical tests are produced and presented to the Ministry of Health regularly.

Dr. Mazhari said that the emergency usage license was issued after the results of 16000 volunteers were studied during the 3rd phase of the vaccination.

He said that “CovIran Barekat” is a two-shot vaccine that must be injected in 28 days.

“Time being, “CovIran Barekat” will expose the immune system to 5 types of germs.”
