The higher authorities are monitoring the vaccination process precisely: Deputy anti-Corona committee Tehran
During our latest episode of the science show “Rozaneh” the fifth wave of the Coronavirus and the production and distribution of Iranian homemade vaccines was discussed.
Joining the show Tehran Province’s Deputy Anti-Corona Committee Dr. Nader Tavakkoli told our host that inoculation is necessary for controlling and reducing the number of deaths due to this disease.
“The distribution chain of the Iranian Vaccine is remarkable.”
He added that the Iran-made vaccine “CovIranBarekat” is inoculated regularly across the country.
Tavakkoli also said that the senior citizens of 65 and more are eligible to receive their dose of the vaccine. “We faced lots of problems for importing the vaccines which resulted in constant delays in the desired schedules but now we’re providing 70 thousand vaccines daily.”
He pointed out that the required low temperature is necessary for the desired result and there is a possibility that due to the incomplete low-temperature circle the imported vaccines are not giving the required results.
Dr. Tavakkoli also said that the decisions regarding the national vaccination program are directly connected to the Establishment and the process of inoculation must be monitored by them in a complete and precise manner.
“We are confident of the quality and efficacy of the vaccines which we’ve distributed across the country.”
He pointed out the mutations of the Covid-19 virus and said according to the researches, the contagiousness of the virus has increased while its lethality has decreased in the mutated version.
“These days around 3000 Covid positive outpatients are being treated daily while around 1500 patients are getting hospitalized.”
Dr. Nader Tavakkoli added that a fourth of the hospitalized patients are admitted to the intensive care units (ICU).
“Just like US, UK, and many other states, Iran is also facing the fifth wave of the Covid-19 disease.”
